I’m so happy to announce that our newest addition to the #BOSSLADIES collection is finally here and it’s a woman who really doesn’t need an introduction, the one and only Oprah Winfrey!

Winfrey was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and later raised in an inner-city Milwaukee neighborhood. She began her career working in local media, she was both the youngest news anchor and the first black female news anchor at Nashville's WLAC-TV. Six years later, she relocated to Chicago to host WLS-TV's low-rated half-hour morning talk show, AM Chicago. Within months after Winfrey took over, the show went from last place in the ratings to overtaking Donahue as the highest-rated talk show in Chicago, a show that eventually became the number one talk show in television.

Additionaly, Winfrey received and Oscar nomination for her work in the film The Color Purple, and has appeared in a number of notable films. After leaving her highly rated TV show, Oprah started her network geared towards women, OWN. Winfrey has co-authored five books, and started O, The Oprah Magazine. She has also published a magazine called O At Home. In 2002, Fortune called O Magazine the most successful start-up ever in the industry.

Forbes' list of The World's Billionaires has listed Winfrey as the world's only black billionaire from 2004 to 2006 and as the first black woman billionaire in the world. Of late, Oprah has been rumored to be considering a presidential run in 2020, and recently ignited a movement after she declared, "a new day is on the horizon," while receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award. She was the first woman of color to receive the honor. Winfrey was called "arguably the world's most powerful woman" by CNN and Time.com making her the perfect companion to the rest of the women in the #BOSSLADIES family.

We care about the environment so like all of our other products these reusable totes are made from recycled cotton which complies with all fair wage and fair labor standards. We will continue to strive to create a quality product that combines fashion and function while celebrating the strong women who define the phrase "boss.” 100% of proceeds from "THE OPRAH" will be donated to Times Up, an organization that provides subsidized legal support to those who have experienced sexual harassment, assault, or abuse in the workplace. Each of our #BOSSLADIES totes are limited editions, so make sure to get yours before she's gone! If you'd like to purchase your own Oprah tote, head on over to the shop and get yours before she sells out!

I’m so grateful for those of you who have supported the #BOSSADIES brand. Because of you we have been able to donate thousands of dollars to organizations like Planned Parenthood and the ACLU, and I love seeing how much each of you have loved your #BOSSLADIES. The response from some of the women featured on these products has been so incredibly positive and I'm so appreciative that everyone has embraced these products in a way that I could have only dreamed of when I created them. Also, a huge, HUGE thank you goes to Jacquelyn Schaab for donating her incredible designs. Jackie believes in the organizations that we support just as much as I do and there is no way I could do any of this without her! Xx
