I spent a good part of the past two weeks at my best friend's house in Cape Cod, and while I was there I was able to grab a few sneak peeks of some of the progress we've made remodeling her beach house. While this wasn't a gut renovation, it has been a pretty big project- one that we really only started in February!
So far the home has been re-painted, the floors have been sanded and stained, we've demo'd a bathroom and purchased all new furniture and rugs for each room in the home. We've also replaced all the drapery (not shown here) and shades, and have purchased wallpaper for a number of rooms. In short, we've been busy. This project is one that will be done in phases, the kitchen and three upstairs bathrooms remain, but so far the transformation has been pretty breathtaking and I felt so very lucky to have been able to spend the last few weeks in such a beautiful home!
Here is a little glimpse of what I've been working on for those of you who would like to see. The before and afters on this one are going to be so good, I really can't wait until I can reveal this project in its entirety! Please excuse the blurry iPhone pictures, I finally upgraded my phone so from here on out I should be able to provide much better quality progress pictures!
Here are the mood boards for the project so you can see where this home is heading!
Speaking of reveals, I know it's been a while since I have shared some of my work with you all but I have good reason, it's actually all being held for publishing! The home in Waban that I started last year is being featured in Boston Common magazine this fall, and the city home that I fished last year for my bff will be in Boston Home's winter edition. Once these homes are published I will be sure to share all the before and afters here and you know I will be providing sources! I'm so proud of the work that I've done over the past few years and the icing on the cake is that the people I love most in this world get to enjoy it! Xx
