If You Need A Pick Me Up: Nate & Jeremiah By Design

If You Need A Pick Me Up: Nate & Jeremiah By Design

This week has been a week.

I'm not one for self pity so I won't bore you with the details but let me just say that I could not be more excited that it's Friday. Yesterday, after my second day of some intense, and unexpected, dentistry I found myself wanting to watch something that just made me happy. You know the feeling, right? You just want one hour to completely veg out with a glass of wine and some mindless TV and there are some days that even the Housewives can't fix. Last night, I had remembered seeing that Nate Berkus and his husband Jeremiah Brent had a new show coming out and I figured I would give it a try. An hour later I can say that watching that show was the actual highlight of my week and now I can't wait to tune to get another peek into the lives of this adorable family and to see what incredible designs they will come up with next.

Nate & Jeremiah By Design features makeovers of homes where the homeowners are in desperate need of help. Homes where people got in over their heads while renovating, who need an expert to finish, but are out of money. Essentially, everyone's worst nightmare. Nate and Jeremiah swoop in and with their connections and some TV money they completely transform these homes and give these families their lives back. The end result is jaw dropping and it just makes you so happy for everyone involved. If you are a design nerd, consider this must see TV.

Beyond the makeovers, the show gives a glimpse into Nate and Jeremiah's life with their daughter Poppy as they move into their stunning LA rental home and it's about as perfect as you would imagine. Their family is so beautiful and it's so inspiring to see a couple that exudes such style in all that they do. I feel like this show is what's been missing in my life (now, I don't have to watch the same three movies on repeat) and I'm so happy I found it. There are two episodes available online and new episodes premiere on TLC on Saturdays. After a week like this one, you know how I'm going to be spending the next two evenings! Xx

P.S. This show is also one of my all time favorite design shows... EVER. It's totally over the top but there are two seasons and I've watched each about 5 times and I never seem to tire of them!
