Margherita Missoni For Pottery Barn Kids
While my husband and I may be done having babies, there is nothing that make my ovaries tingle more than the idea of designing a new nursery. There is just so much love that goes into a space for a new baby and for me it's such a great way to experiment with color and pattern because when it comes to an infant's learning and development, there is no such thing as too much of either! I remember when I was having Liam, I was so disappointed that everything was either pale blue, pink, yellow or green and I hated how everything was so matchy matchy. At the time, unless you were doing things custom, everything was only sold as a set which was really limiting when it came to mixing and matching.
Well, a decade later things sure have changed and now it is so easy to create a fun and inviting space for a new baby, the options really are endless. The job becomes even easier when you have someone as talented as Margherita Missoni conceptualizing these goods AND you can get them at a reasonable price point from a vendor who exists just about everywhere.
Yes, Margherita Missoni just released a new collection with Pottery Barn Kids and for those of you who are expecting, please know that I am very, very jealous. What a love about this collection (besides all the color) is the fact that many of these items are accessories, which means they are made to mix in with the items that are already existing your home. These pieces are so whimsical and are perfect for giving a space that layered feel, and I'm pretty sure you are going to see some of these items and wonder why the kiddos get to have all the fun?
Below you can find a few of my picks from the collection along with a little narrative about why I think they stand out. If you are interested in learning more about any piece you can click the image to be taken directly to the site. I love seeing collaborations between high end designers and mass market retailers and I can only hope that this is just the beginning. Hey, who knows, someday soon I could be writing about Chanel for Baby Gap... stranger things have happened! Xx
