Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and interior design. Hope you have a nice stay!

My 4 Favorite Looks For Spring

I'm hoping that yesterday's rain showers mean that spring is just around the corner (or at least no more snow!!!) so I'm totally adopting that mindset. Soon enough we will be able to shed the last of those winter layers and here are four of the things that I'm most looking forward to wearing in the spring. (Click the arrows to see my picks and the image if you'd like to be taken to the site)

The Statement Coat

Spring in New England means you still (sadly) have to wear a coat, and after six months of living in black and gray, I'm really looking forward to adding a touch of color to my life. There is no better way to do this than with a statement coat and this season it's the bomber / varsity jacket that is topping my wishlist. Bonus points also go to florals, patterns, and white. Anything but solid black.

The Patterned Jumpsuit

This is probably the number one thing that I will be wearing this spring/ summer. The patterned jumpsuit brings just a little more edge to your look than a typical sundress and it's really a one stop shop when it comes to getting ready in the warmer months. Just add in a pair of leather sandals and a tote and call it a day!

The Printed Blouse

Another look that I am really loving for spring is a great patterned blouse. Perfect for weekend days with a pair of boyfriend jeans or during the week with a pencil skirt. For me the bolder the better and really anything with tassels has my vote.

The Backless Dress

Last year I picked up a few backless (or cross back) dresses / jumpsuits and what can I say, I am hooked! For most of us our back is out best feature (especially those of us who have suffered the perils of nursing) and I think showing some back is so sexy but it's still subdued. My favorite dresses are those that look conservative from the front and have some va va voom as you walk away. Like a mullet, it's business in the front.. party in the back!
