I finally subscribed to the Texture magazine app, and I can't tell you how amazing it is to have access to all my favorite mags at the swipe of a finger. I had been dying to see Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s New York city apartment featured in this month's Architectural Digest, after seeing glimpses of the space on Instagram. This was my first stop after installing the new app and so far it has been my only stop. This apartment is INSANE and I seriously love all of it. For those of you who have yet to see the spread you are in for a treat. For me this is design at its finest.
Can we just talk about this entry??? The only word that I can come up with is STUNNING. Those doors, the painted moldings, the floors, the arrow detail up the staircase... be still my beating heart. Also, can you believe the size of this space? I can only imagine how grand the apartment feels from the inside. From this angle it looks more like a townhouse in London than it does an apartment in downtown New York.
I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite room in their home, but if I had to this would probably be it. I love how clean the space feels but also that it alludes comfort. The melding of these two things is not an easy task and the design team from Ashe + Leandro deserve a standing ovation for this one.
How great is this kitchen? I LOVE that it has so much personality and not one subway tile in sight!
For me, this bath is the real show piece of the home. That arch and the light are so so good! If I had this in my home I would live in that tub!
The home boasts two living areas, one that appears to be more formal and one that seems to be geared towards to kids. I cannot get over those windows and love how everything really pops against the white walls. Also, how comfy does that leather sofa look?
Some incredible interior details. That bar has me thinking I want to go green for our Costa kitchen and I love how much personality that bathroom has considering it's done in simple black and white.
The bedrooms in the house are a little dark for my personal taste (although still gorgeous from a design standpoint) but it's the boys' room that stands out the most to me. I love how light and bright the space is but how it also has a ton of masculine details. A simple switch of the quilts and this room would be just as perfect for a teen as it is for their younger children.
You can view the rest of the home here. xx
