Throwing Away The Tweezers
For as long as I can remember I have wanted thicker eyebrows. It's the one thing about my appearance that I would most like to change and I swear I'd trade wrinkles any day for fuller brows. I feel like I've had too-thin brow's since the 90's (thank you Drew Barrymore) and I've never broken the cycle of monthly plucking. I've talked a lot about eyebrows over the past few years. I've tweezed less, I've dyed them, I've sort of left them alone, but I've never really just let them grown out. Like, thrown away the tweezers and do not look back, grown out.
Well, the day I read this post, I did just that. I tossed the tweezers and I started using this twice daily and religiously. Guess what? I have eyebrows growing. Real eyebrows that are actually growing and like weeds. That is the upside. The downside is that I actually have two eyebrows growing underneath my already existing eyebrows, for a total of four growing eyebrows (and at opposite rates of speed). I feel like it's all people can see when they are talking to me, so I have started telling people I'm growing out my eyebrows so they know I'm not intentionally walking around like this. It's not pretty- but I am fully committed to doing this for an entire year. I have to think that the area between my four eyebrows will eventually fill in, and then I could possibly have the thick eyebrows that I never thought were possible. (P.S. If anyone wants to join me in this endeavor, please do so, so I'm not the only one!)
I'm almost 6 weeks in, and already the difference is huge. I'm actually feeling pretty hopeful. I'd love to know if any of you were able to really change your eyebrows and grow them out. I'll be sure to post an after picture when I get them shaped at the end of the year. If I can have even half of what that gorgeous girl above is working with, I will consider it a success. Xx
