3 Fall Boots

Oh Fall, I want to hate you so badly because your arrival brings with you another eight months of cold weather, but what is a New England girl to do? Along with the lower temps you also bring changing leaves, apple picking, pumpkin everything, school (!!!!!) and of course, fall fashion. After months of cut-offs and tanks, pulling my chunky sweaters, tights, and boots from the back of my closet feels so good, even this warm weather loving girl has to admit that she is a little excited about getting dressed every day.

When I think of fall fashion I am all about two things and only two things: boots and coats. Living in Boston, these two things are essential to your survival, and since everything underneath gets covered anyway, I really invest in those pieces because that is what is being seen the most. Besides, if I'm being truthful here, one can only get so excited about the endless jean/ sweater rotation, no matter how amazing each piece is.

Below are my three favorite boot styles for this coming season and some inspiration for how I plan to wear them. The over the knee boot is going to be EVERYWHERE this year, and I'm loving the flat suede options that most brands are currently rolling out. It gives any look that bohemian edge, while straying from the memorable Pretty Woman atent leather pair that only Julia Roberts could pull off. I pulled from a range of price points, the left being high, and the right the low.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still rooting for a few more beach days this weekend but I learned a long time ago, the cold is inevitable and the only way to make it through is to try to do it with as much style as you can. Well, at least until February. After that, all bets are off.
