Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and interior design. Hope you have a nice stay!

On My Radar

Watching:

Season 2 of The Affair is a few episodes in, and I'm just going to say it... it is by far the best show on television. I seriously think about it a few times a day and I'm already dying to know how it's going to end. I've gotten my sister hooked so thankfully I have someone to talk about it all day with, but if any of you are watching can we please discuss in the comments? Without giving anything away I have to say I've had a total change of heart over both of the main characters (hate them) and am now LOVING their spouses which thankfully have a stronger storyline this season. #pacy4ever

Using:

After my 35th birthday I decided I was going to take my skincare more seriously and actually had a good run of regular facials. Over summer I stopped going in and now it seems like there just isn't any time. I was in search of a great at home mask and stumbled upon this dual mask which had received great reviews. I used it the other night and I'm not kidding when I say I don't think my skin has every looked better. Like a facial, it did cause a small break out given all the gunk that was cleared, but already my skin feels tighter and my pores really do look smaller. The jars contain enough product for about 10 uses, and given that the entire set is less than half the price of a single facial, I'm feeling pretty excited right now!

Reading:

Jojo Meyer's Me Before You was one of my favorite books I read last year. I swear, I must have sobbed for at least a half hour after I finished it. After You follows the main character Louisa who is trying to get her life back on track after the events of the previous novel. I love nothing more than a good literary sequel and I can't wait to rip into this one over the weekend.

Lusting:

Since I blew my fall budget on over the knee boots this year, I'm definitely not shopping right now. If I were, I would absolutely snatch up these adorable leopard print boots. I've been on the hunt (no pun intended) for a great leopard shoe for years and am sad to see these guys go out of stock without first making their way to my closet. I think they would look fantastic with jeans and also with skirts and black opaque tights!

Admiring:

There is nothing better than fresh flowers and I'm loving this new (to me) company Farm Girl Flowers which provides fresh, local flowers that are scooted or pedaled to you for less than those standard (and awful) arrangements that are typically sold online. They come wrapped in those adorable burlap sacks which is reason enough for me to give them a try. I can't wait to send these to someone to brighten their day! On a side note, I have to say that I think it would be the greatest luxury to have fresh flowers delivered weekly. Maybe once we put these boys through college I'll have to add that to my Christmas list. Until then those supermarket flowers will have to do the trick!

Dreaming:

I just cannot get this room that was designed by Lauren Leiss and recently featured in Better Homes and Gardens out of my head. Those curtains! Now, I'm dying to add in some baby blue curtains in our own home, inspired by this room, and luckily a client is on board with something similar for her own living area (I'm going with these) so hopefully I can the idea out of my system. Leiss really has it going on right now and I'm saving her new book for a day when I have a few hours with nothing else to think about. I did a quick flip though when it arrived on Tuesday and it is so, so, so good!

Those are just a few of the things on my radar right now. I'd love to hear what you all are loving right now in the comments!!! xx
